Job
Description (June 21, 2007)
-
Conduct
research to located funding for programs,
initiatives, and capital projects for Community
Builders Foundation
-
Prepare
and submit funding applications
-
Coordinate and lead the activities related to
developing a funding stream for the foundation
-
Conduct
interdepartmental meetings to identify and
prioritize project needs.
-
Edit
draft applications for accuracy, completeness and
clarity and submit all applications in accordance
with grant requirements
-
Provide
timely advice and information on funding
opportunities, requirements and procedures;
collaborates in defining and implementing project
funding strategies.
-
Provide
assistance in resolving any issues and/or conflicts
that might arise with funding sources.
-
Prepare
and submit reports as required by granting agencies.

Manage
the procurement process.

Perform
other duties as assigned.
Requirements
-
Three
years minimum experience in grant writing; one year
in a non-profit setting.

Must
have the ability to manage time and tasks
effectively and have the capacity for detail work.
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required;
ability to work in a team environment yet be
self-directed, as required.
-
Experience in strategic fund raising is desired.
-
This
position reports to the Executive Director.
