Greetings Prayer Warriors,

Our city is in the midst of a growing crime wave and much too frequent drive-by shootings and murders. We need God's mercy, protection, and deliverance in breaking this crime wave.

God's hand is mighty to save. We need to call upon Him.

November 12th, 2004, the Prayer furnace met at South Side Mission and spent a major portion of our prayer time praying the victims, families, and for police to catch the serial killer. Not long after that, Larry Bright was captured and confessed to the serial killings. Coincidence or divine intervention?

God's hand is mighty to save. We need to call upon Him.

"He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters.

He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.

They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support.

He brought me out into a spacious place; He rescued me because He delighted in me."

-- Psalm 18:16-19

Come stand in gap for our city, for our children, for our neighbors. God's hand is mighty to save. We need to call upon Him.

Blessings,
Pastor Bruce

Community Builders Foundation coordinated a trip to the Brooklyn Tabernacle church in New York City. Forty racial and gender diverse individuals were among two thousand individuals who attended a weekly Prayer Service held at the Brooklyn Tabernacle. Out of that experience was the birth of the Peoria Prayer Furnace.

Meetings rotate from church to church the second Sunday of each month. Through the commitment of Peoria’s Mayor and City Council, the Prayer Furnace met at City Hall each quarter of 2004 Prayer warriors are led by a facilitator to pray for our country, the Greater Peoria Area, National, State, City, Civic leaders as well as families and individuals.
